Default [IBC] Spam

I know Jim Lewis has said this, BUT I have a delete button/key. When I open
my mailbox, I go through and delete all the spam. The same for popups. It
only takes a few seconds. We seem to forget that someone has to pay for this
FREE service and the payment is spam.

Billy, I'm afraid you're wrong on this. Email is a free service. There
is no-one to pay. The guys hijacking it for their own potential profits
are arse-holes.

Governments, Universities and Corporations.

Spam is someone taking advantage of the system for personal gain.

That is what you pay your ISP for. From what they collect from you, they
purchase packet transmittion from the network companies. Passage along
networks is similar to phone traffic - if the source network originates
more traffic than they receive they make a payment to the receiving network.
All the costs should be covered by your monthly fee. Of course if you are
using a "free" email service, then you should expect advertisements but only
those that are posted by or through your immediate service provider.
