Harvested, cleaned, and dehydrated epazote, leaf celery, and flat leaf
parsley today, 2 trays each all told. Currently have 3 trays of pineapple rings dehydrating, sure smells good. Chiles are making, got baby chiles on several plants, and the tomatoes are starting to bloom. Radishes, lettuce, green beans, brown crowder peas, cukes, are starting to break the soil so it won't be long there either. I do love spring gardening and the subsequent harvest. George |

I thought maybe you got your tongue over your eyetooth and were having
trouble seeing what you were saying. Sure didn't look like one of your usual posts. B-) George Craig Watts wrote: Raleigh, NC New red potatoes have brocken ground. About 2 inches high. I second the cruel streak
It's snowing here in Calgary, Alberta Canada - and Edmonton - about 300 km north is getting well over a foot of snow. bah humbug Lyn Ophelia wrote: "joe s" wrote in message .. . ah yes, thats one of the good things about florida, we are already harvesting our first batch tons of strawberries, sweet peppers, tomatos, cucumbers, beans and soon some carrots and onions :-D You have a cruel streak in you! We have already eaten leaf lettuce, radishes, green onions, the potato
plants are almost 1 and 1/2 half feet tall. will eat new potatoes next week.. The peas are blooming, the sweet corn is 8 inches tall, squash is blooming, beans are 5 inches tall, and everything else is doing good. We are in Nashville Tennessee. ann "Craig Watts" wrote in message ... Chiles are making, got baby chiles on several plants, and the tomatoes are starting to bloom. I had _planned_ on planting the veggie garden today, but we have a cold rain in the forecast for the next 3 days.......looks more like I should be building an ark than planting a garden! envious, Kathi |

We're eating lettuce and various Asian greens (stir-fried or in salads) - hon tsai tai, baby bok choy, choy sum. That's it so far. Swiss chard will be ready to pick in a few days, and we'll have broccoli (Small Miracle) pretty soon. I've not yet planted our squash out - just started it under lights. It will go out in a week or two when our weather has warmed up some more. The tomatoes are all out in the garden, protected by WalloWaters. We're in PA's chilly Northern Tier, one of the colder areas of Zone 5. Our theoretical last frost date is June 1. Pat |
