Default My New Pond Site

Hey everyone, remember me? I know I have been scarce, but I have been busy.
I wanted to let you all know that I have finally found a way to give back to
the group. You have all been so helpful in my first season, that I wanted to
somehow help back. I am by no means an expert on ponds, but I am an
obbessive compulsive note taker and planner.

Over the past year or so, I have been collecting every little tid bit of
information that I thought would help me with my pond
design/implementation/care. I have compiled this list of questions and
answers, as well as questions unanswered and made a web site out of them.

I invite you to check out my latest project, http://www.iheartmypond.com. It
is a FREE for the researching site. I plan to keep it free forever. The only
source income generated by this site will be via associates programs with
garden centers, advertisers, etc.

The site is not quite complete, but the basic structure and organization are
in place. I need to finish up a few areas, and get more content on line, but
I think you will see I have a good start. My goal in life for this project
is that when someone asks a question, the de facto answer will be, "Check
out iheartmypond.com. If they don't have it, they'll have a link to it." I
don't intend to replace any of the fine sites out there, I just want to be
the hop scotch to them.

Thanks again for all your help.

BV.

Hi B.V. Congratulations on your new website. I think it has the
potential to be one of the best sites on the web for ponders and fish
keepers. You have installed virtually all the questions asked by new ponders
and some that even the more experienced among us will find interesting.
Many of the un-answered questions could be filled in by our resident
'experts' but they seem to have disappeared of late. Is there any
particular reason for their absence?

Yeah, they're all wading around in the silt getting their ponds ready for
winter!

BV, it does indeed look like its a very good site - thanks for taking the
time to build it.

B.V., The site looks great and I'm sure it took a lot of hard work.
Good luck with it and thank you. I'm adding it to the top of my

Now that you are so popular, you may have to increase your bandwidth
to handle all the hits. I tried to go back and it was not available.

Unfortunately, our ISP had an attack this weekend, and took the server down
temporarily to clean/fix some damage. The site is back up now.

We had a server issue with our ISP, related to a virus attack of some kind.
Our ISP took it down for a short time to fix/clean things. It should be all
dandy now.

Thanks. I appreciate it. As I mentioned, I have been putting every question
that has occured to me is important. Not neccesserily answered yet but at
least posted. As for experts, I have already had some help from Sam, Lee,
Kathy...and if I forgot someone else I apologize, I have been so busy
getting things ready that my brain is fried. Anyway, if anyone is interested
in writing a short article to answer one or more of the questions, I'd be
happy and very grateful to post it. As I said, I will NEVER EVER NEVER
charge for this content. The idea is to create a site we can all use to
launch to the info that we need. I want to be a compliment to places like
pondrushes.net, etc. I don't intend to replace them.

I appreciate the compliments from everyone.

I don't know if all absences can be explained by this, but I've been
having horrible difficulties sending and receiving groups lately.
Finally have gone to reading and responding directly from Google
groups. I've been bugging my ISP for over a week for a response to
this problem, but they're not responding although the servers upstream
from my ISP have been working on some unscheduled maintenance this
weekend. Maybe they got hit with the same problem that hit BV's ISP.

Also, am having problems getting to a lot of Internet sites so haven't
had a chance to look at iheartmypond.com yet. I'm sure it's a great
site though as BV has been collecting answers to his very thorough
questions for some time. Can't wait to see it.

Go to
www.teranews.com and sign on to their free newsgroup reader, they
have a one time fee for sign up of only $3.95. I use teranews when my ISP
has .... well to put it nicely, "brain gas".

and let us know "this is for iheartmypond.com". Speaking for myself I'm
doing good each day to read/reply to my e-mail and get partially thru RP,

Hey Jan,

I'd be happy to post occasional listings of unanswered questions. I just
don't want to bombard the group too much. For those of you that are
interested, you can see a sample article by a fellow porger at:

of this one, I am sure.
