Fish always do swim around a bit, even in the coldest water. Just

my pond water was 38 degrees for a couple of days, of course, now it is in
the high 50's almost 60's. I assume you too will be getting colder very
soon since our cold here always comes rolling in from Canada and here in
Oklahoma we are suppose to be in the 30's next Tuesday.

In any event, do not feed your fish until you water temperature is
consistently above 55 degrees and rising daily. When you do start feeding
them feed them sparingly until the water temperature is in the 60's. The
way things are going around here this winter I will probably be putting my
fish out in February. Of course, we will probably get a late freeze in
May
like we did one year.

Should be 25-30 F and 2 to 3 " of ice on the pond. Had an inch or so of

back in Nov. during a cold spell but is long gone. Pond is winterized
with
plants set in bottom, filter and pump removed, air bubbler bubbling away
(in
case we ever do get ice).
Should I feed the fish since they seem to be active?
