Default Hi, rose news group!

I've just moved to Portland, OR and purchased my first home... since
Portland is "Rose City," I've been putting in roses. Up until now all
my gardening experience has been vegetable plots and mowing the lawn.
I'm very excited to be gardening--and to be gardening roses in
particular.

I have some old cutting roses in my yard--I'm taking out a couple of
the more leggy/dead ones and will give another one or two away. The
roses I'm in the midst of adding to the yard a

2 Climbing Icebergs
Climbing White Dawn
Lady Jane Gray
Lawrence of Arabia
Jude the Obscure

Except for the Icebergs, these were not at all the plants I had
intended to get when I visited Heirloom Roses. But seeing the roses
in person (and being able to smell Jude the Obscure) made a huge
difference!
