Default OT Spam & perhaps, Gardenbanter?

Today, I have received around 80 pieces of junk mail. My junk mail filter
catches most of it very well but I still have to check it, of course.
Most
days, the number is something between 30 and 50. Is this because
Gardenbanter is reproducing posts from urg or is there some other
explanation? I'd be grateful to know of the experiences and opinions of
others on urg.

Loads of spam is directed at me. I use Mailwasher Free (for personal use)
which reads the message header on the ISP server and indicates which
messages have attachments. You can then select which messages are to be
deleted before you download them from the server onto your own computer.
Saves loads of time downloading unwanted garbage and potentially
virus-contaminated attachments. Blacklist option catches many, but these
people change their addresses frequently, so you have to remain alert.

Current craze seems to be investment scams, with s*x products a close
second. I tried teling one of the latter that their products were no use
unless they also provided an unattached lady to use them with, but they
never replied...
(Sorry - must be getting bored, too cold for sitting in the garden)

I'll look at that. Thank you very much.
