Cat Litter (can it be used on my flower beds)

One can but try but it seems most cat owners dont care that their animals usually mess other gardeners gardens Ah, so wrong, so wrong! I for one care very deeply, as it means I have less cat poo to contend with in my own garden. Fortunately, I have many adjoining neighbours, so each of my own four cats has ample choice in answering that difficult question "where shall I poo today?" Thank God for neighbours, esp. those with freshly dug-over veg plots. {I'm pulling your leg.) Cat Litter (can it be used on my flower beds)
"Mike" wrote in message ... In article , hayley hayley.ry writes The cat litter that my cats used is the wood pellet type that soaks up any mess. Once it has been used in the litter tray would it be ok to dig in my flower beds (not veg patch). Has anybody got any info to suggest not to do this? you can catch toxoplasmosis (sp) from cat poo which is very bad if you are pregnant (but most gardeners and meat eaters are immune anyway). Also the smell may encourage your cats (or other cats) to use your garden Excuse me but that contradicts everything that has been said on this and other newsgroups by cat owners. "Get a cat of your own and the others won't come into your garden" That is most certainly not true, we have a cat and most of the cats from around come into our garden. You are now saying that it will encourage others!! I don't think having a cat encourages others, cats will go wherever they like. They are 'wild' animals.
