Default Robinia pseudacacia frisia - green not yellow

I have one of these trees which is about 5ft high and the leaves each year are green and not yellow. Have I been sold a dummy or do I have to wait a few more years?

I have had one previously at a different house which was yellow from the start. Does anyone have any ideas?
