Have I offended posters on this group? This is what June has
posted on another group. Have any of my postings offended you?
If so, please tell me as I don't know what I have said on this
group for June to post this.
Don't worry I won't disrupt the group but if I have committed
a cardinal sin on here, at least let me know. I first posted
on here in 2002 and I don't think I have ever said anything
unkind to anyone.

This was posted in ANOTHER GROUP? If it has nothing to do
with _this_ group, why did you bring it here, Judith?
What are you trying to prove?

Nothing Anne, to be killfiled on this group but not on the other one
meant, to me, that I must have said something here to offend. I'm not
trying to prove anything, I'm just asking what I said on this group to
be killfiled - if I have offended anyone here, I really do apologise.

I can't read someone else's mind, Judith, but perhaps June was trying
to do her best to avoid having to read any more disruptive posts, if
'others' from urg were to make their way here? It's not impossible,
is it! Urg certainly isn't the happy, helpful group I joined ten
or so years ago, and I notice that all the ill-feeling has boiled
up yet again tonight! It really is too bad, just as things were
settling down again... 8-(

Go away you horrid little troll.

Mary, Alan is not a troll. He is an old man who enjoys usenet and we
all humour him and give him the respect he deserves (OK, Alan, don't
start taking advantage

PS There are two posts here in this thread showing the ng to be ukfd and
not urg - one purporting to come from me. Please note - I did not put
them here.

Oh for crying out loud! What on earth does it matter? I couldn't care less
how old people are or what they look like. It may possibly be relevant
whether someone has many years' experience in gardening or not, but that's
all.

Good grief, what kind of question is that?!

It seems a reasonable one if we are supposed to tolerate him because he is
old.

How about 'tolerating' him - what a perfectly disgusting expression -
because he was here long before you were, is known to many of us, on group
and personally and has a problem with memory loss and the gallantry to joke
about it himself. Think about it, Martin. This could be you when - if -
you grow up.
You post a lot of one-line crap remarks that add nothing to the sum of urg's
knowledge. So how old are you? It makes no difference because your nonsense
does not have much to do with gardening. Alan gardens. You do not appear
to do so with or without a fully functioning memory.

no worse than "we all humour him". Just short of "does he take sugar?"

This gets worse. You're a real sweetheart.

When you earn it, I will. Maybe.

And you are a gentleman. I hope that this post will not make you seem
to be a 'pal' of mine, as it is often the case when I respond to
someone who has sense, who is intelligent, who is fun and interesting.

I have known Alan for longer than anybody here. He was already
trolling usenet 14 years ago ! He was already despised by many for
being an obnoxious troll and for having a very long beard. I have
always felt sorry for him and I have never ever responded to his
abuses to me except last week when I cracked. It was time to clear
some cobwebs I felt.

I have yet to see anything that Alan has posted anywhere that is on topic
including to this group.

You will not find anything relevant. What is at the moment coming
through all this bitching sessions is on one hand one person in urg
would like to talk to a 'panel' of experts, would refuse any opinions
from people who have knowledge if they don't like them, refute any
criticism if they're found to be either wrong or monopolising the air
waves with personnal information and later regrating it, but will
still accept a lunatic hanging around the corridors of usenet waiting
for his chance to get involved in anything nasty that he can find,
because he's ... old. If that is the only reason, I don't mind at all.
I don't mind the beard either. What I mind is that he has no tact, he
is unpleasant, and he jumps in with the nasty bitching sessions even
though he hasn't a clue what's going on.

Pour me a cuppa and pass the biscuits.
