Many of us discovered animal rights from newsgroups and google. Some
of us had no idea how bad they get treated, and some of us actually
care about their welfare.

So all in all the newsgroups are a great medium for enlightenment. The
****s that dont want to see it should learn how to use a filter, bunch
of *******.

PRAYER FOR A NATION

When Pastor Joe Wright, of Central Christian Church, was asked
to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting
the usual politically correct generalities.
But what they heard instead was this:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today to ask Your forgiveness
and seek your direction and guidance.
We know Your Word says,
‘Woe on those who call evil good,’ but that’s exactly what we have done.
We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and inverted our values.

We confess that:

We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it pluralism;

We have, worshipped other gods and called it multiculturalism;

We have endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle;

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery;

We have neglected the needy and called it self-preservation;

We have killed our unborn and called it choice;

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem;

We have abused power and called it political savvy;

We have coveted our neighbour’s possessions and called it ambition;

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression;

We have ridiculed the time-honoured values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, 0 God, and know our hearts today; try us and see if there be some wicked way in us;
cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Guide and bless these men and women who have
been sent here by the people of Kansas, and who have been ordained by You, to govern this great state.

Grant them Your wisdom to rule and may their decisions direct us to the centre of Your will. I ask it in the name of Your Son, the Living Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.”

That would be my thought when being charitable as well but they mostly go

I don't mind them as such, it's like a newspaper, you read what you
want. It's in the title, you usually get the idea of the thread by the
title. What is annoying is when an urgler respond to them just to be
rude.

It's the net nanny who craves attention that's the problem, going
round from post to post protesteth much and boring the pants off the
rest of us. I suspect most are too stupid to use a kill filter, or
ignore posts that get up their noses.

It's not like many a stupid gardener couldn't do with some advice
about the damage they do to wildlife is it! Chemicals, poisons, deadly
baits in abundance without a care for the consequences to wildlife.

Hedgehogs now an at risk species, birds in serious decline. I wonder
if some of the idiots here even know the damage they are doing, let
alone care about it.

I guess guilt plays it's part on them.

So do I. Carefully-tended animals taste much better than stressed-
out, badly-treated animals. All my pork chops come from contented
pigs.

'Waiter, was this duck wild?'

'Sure; how would you feel if someone shot you and pulled out all your
feathers?'

'Is that the butchers?'

'Yes'

'Do you deliver?'

'No, we only do lamb, prk and beef'.

I can't see a way to do that using Entourage on a Mac, unfortunately.
Perhaps when I get my new Mac........ ;-))

I haven't used a Mac for a long, long time so I can't help but I'm
sure there will be a suitable newsreader.

As Sacha well knows :-) On Hogwasher I have a filter set not to download
messages cross-posted to three or more groups.

I tried using that and did something 'orrible to my computer IIRC!

Are you for real Sacha?!

You have responded to this thread first. Do you know captainpugwash
and therefore don't you think you are the first person who has
contributed to the 'ruin' of this group, as you put it?

The idiots refers to people in urg, I think, who admit to using
chemicals (not to feed the thousands nor to kill millions of locusts
but to protect a little bush in their little front garden) and you
know who you are. Did you get that Sacha? Why don't you get this?

Do you actually beleive I am responsible for all the crossposts?

Do you consider Gary's post a troll post? If yes, why?

Do you consider captainpugwash a troll post? If no, why?

Why are you such a tyrant?

You better be very careful about your answers because you are now
being very closely watch by many lil' trolls, garls and boys alike who
cannot wait for people like you who unleash their nasties on others
