How about you go out for a stroll on a fine day and talk to a few of these various neighbours who are actually growing the Sumachs you desire. Ask over the garden fence, as you just happen to be walking by, if they'd like to get rid of a few of those suckers which you know can be a bit of a nuisance to some people. I'm sure someone will be only too glad to be rid of them. You can offer to do the digging up if they like and give them a plant swap, or to mow their lawn in return or whatever. Next thing you know they won't be strangers and you'll have made new gardening acquaintances. It'd be a more sensible use of your time than arguing on the Interwebz at any rate. -- Sue |
