Default Beautiful day!

Another lovely day here and just a hint of cloud on the horizon!
There's a definite feel of spring in the air and I just hope it
materialises!

We had it yesterday.
It's back to being overcast today.

We had an appointment at the Doctors early this morning and it was quite
pleasant and a call into Shanklin Theatre just now the weather was nowhere
near as fierce as it has been.

But rain is forecast :-( but the wind has dropped.

We've had a brief downpour of rain this pm but it got up to 30C in the
greenhouses. And the sun is out once more!

Forecast said showers and light rain and that is what we have had all day,
some showers have been heavy though.

We've had a lovely sunny day here, with just the lightest shower around
lunchtime. I went shopping without a jacket for the first time in
months! My scientific weather station says a max of 13*C, although the
sensor may be in a slightly sheltered site.

Lots of primroses, snowdrops, winter aconites, and cyclamen coum in
flower. Paeonies pushing through the ground with their reddish shoots.
It certainly felt like Spring today, but I'm not going to be too
optimistic.

Is your house safe, Bob? From what we've seen on the news, the water
has receded a bit. I do hope you're both safe from the misery of
flooding.

Strange day here at the side of Swansea Bay.
Heavy rain just before 7am, the wife had hospital appointments(8 miles
from home) half of the morning then shopping, no sign of rain, but a
couple of miles from home Heavy rain then about 1/2 a mile from home the
lane was flooded. right across the road and about 6 inches deep, that
wasn't there on the way out.
By 2pm the sun was out and a warm afternoon, and the birds singing their
little heads off.
Yesterday a couple of hover-fly out enjoying the weather

Yes thank you, it's gone down a lot now, the river has dropped so I can now
see the seats of the benches when I couldn't see the tops so probably over
two feet. Water gradually going from the streets etc but still have a few
road closures although one of those I have been driving since Friday, the
only way to get to our allotment. Noticed today there is grass showing again
on Runnymede Meadow but the road there is still shut.

Hopefully we will get post flood photos soon?

I hope so but it's going to take a long time. My daughter (who has been
helping a foal rescue charity near there which was evacuated) says that
when you see it it's hard to get your head round the huge expanses of
water.
