Default OT. Anyone with Netflix experience? OT

Hello all. Hope this posting finds you all in good health.

One quick question, I have been contemplating signing on to Netflix, I was
thinking that it may guarantee me availability of whatever video I want to
view any weekend, and at $20/month or 5/week for say 3 movies a week, it
adds up to $1.70 per movie compared to the current $4 per movie I'm paying
blockbuster video right now.

Has anyone here tried Netflix?

Thanks

I have used netflix for over a year now. For the most part it has been pretty
good. SOmetimes there is a wait with new releases. and I have had problems
with some dvd that are scrathed and in pretty bad shape. The turn around is
very fast, and so far only one dvd that I returned to them was lost in they
took care of that problem right away.

We tried it when it first came out and at that time the service was quite
good as was the shape of the DVDs. Used it for about 6 months, but decided
Blockbusters was a better choice for us due to the fact that we go there for
games weekly anyway (Xbox, PS1, PS2, & Game Cube reside here.....lol)

I found them to be slow at getting the movies out with unexplained delays of
up to a week, they kept saying "mail time" when my NetFlix service center
center is 400 miles away doesn't make sense...They also became REALLY nasty
& hostile when I canceled. Wal Mart also has a similar service through
there web site, they both make you check out 2 dvd sets as 2 rentals but Wal
Mart isn't very good at identifying 2 disc sets.

We have been Netflix subscribers for a couple of years. We are very
satisfied. They have a much larger selection of movies that are not "current
hot stuff" than any of the big video stores which tend to specialize in hot
stuff.. Turn around is usually extremely fast. I have just had one unusable
DVD in the past 2 years, and that was quickly rectified.

We've been using it for about two years now. It is just awesome. Our turn
around time is great (from San Diego), when they say they shipped it, we get
it the next day. Maybe there is a distribution center in LA or something. We
always have at least 2 movies to choose from everyday, more often 3 and we
watch a film pretty much every week night.

I would recommend it.

We've been NETFLIXing for about a year now and have NO problems with
them at all. Seabiscuit has been on our hold list for awhile now but
most of the other movies have been sent right on. One we sent back
they didn' t receive and one they sent to us that did not arrive were
adjusted immediately with no problem. We average better than 3 per
week ... about 15 per month and at $20 that ain't bad.

I have both Blockbuster and Netflix accounts. I use Blockbuster when I
think "Hey, I want to see (insert movie name here) tonight!". The reason I
keep NetFlix is because they have a much, much larger selection than
BlockBuster. As an example, they have a huge selection of documentaries
that Blockbuster will never carry, and it's fun to keep a few of those
around for the dull days.

We have a game pass from Blockbuster and as we are in there weekly....for us
Netflix was more of a waste of money. (We didn't stop because of service,
quality or selection......that was fine.) We also get free movies from
Blockbuster using coupons from other video stores (they honor other coupons)
and we usually rent enough games and movies monthly we end up with a free
movie that way. Plus it's less than a mile from us. (Walking distance from
the new house as well.)
