really is it?

Totally different.

Well I like to have a little fun with your spam. I am glad that you
admit to sinking to a lower level... which again, you feel I am a
spammer.... and it is good to know that you too are a spammer....

It's not fun it's extremely abusive of your position to edit post in
such way as to mis represent someone's views.

Different is that the forums are 'yours' and you want to drum up
'business' on your site. No one (despite Mikes rantings) owns urg. We
can't edit someone's post, stop them posting, delete posts etc.

And yes it's newsgroup, which means if you read it properly using news
reader it has so many advantages over a web forum.

It's funny way to go encouraging people to come and post to your site.

He made a hateful remark... sorry but its my job to remove hateful
remarks or any remarks that are not related to the topic. If people
want to join a community that is not supervised, then go for it.... but
if people want to view quality content then they go to my website....
its not for everyone... and doesn't seem to be for anyone here.... oh
well. I don't think that this newsgroup contributes a large percentage
of the entire gardening community.... oh, well of course you might
think it does.... but that is the problem here. People feel that they
are better than everyone else..... definately not the people I am
looking for. No hard feelings.... no big deal....

If this is me gconn77 is referring to, that's another attempt to
misrepresent me.

I said gconn77 had been advertising his forum in urg, and that readers
of his forum might be interested in urg, where we had a large number of
posts and experts posting on a daily basis. I did not denigrate his
forum, and I made no criticism of him other than the fact that the form
of his advertising here was against our charter.

sorry but its my job to remove hateful
remarks or any remarks that are not related to the topic.

remove, yes, and I expected that, edit so as to give the post a
completely different meaning to the original, no.

I'm getting confused, and at my age that happens very easily,
who made a hateful remark?

If you are going to post to a newsgroup, it is helpful to quote
the passage to which you are refering, so that idiots like me
can follow the discussion.

sorry but its my job to remove hateful

From what I've read so far that sounds about right!

and doesn't seem to be for anyone here.... oh
well. I don't think that this newsgroup contributes a large percentage
of the entire gardening community....

And your brand new web page will?

I think you should have a close look at your ego, and try to cut it
down to size!

oh, well of course you might
think it does.... but that is the problem here. People feel that they
are better than everyone else..... definately not the people I am

You have your opinions and a _very_ large number of people who contribute
to this newsgroup have theirs, and considering that this newsgroup has
been active for well over 10 years, I would count that as a success.

A large number of the people contributing to this group are very
experienced and are happy to pass on any experiences they have to, people
who are asking for help and advice, you should also remember that web
pages are a relatively new part of the internet, and it might help you
to try to understand, by reading other newsgroups and get some idea of
the type of people who do offer their experiencies to others, with no
thought of reward at all.

In general the contributors to this group are friendly and helpful, and
your comments are not welcome, so, as far as I'm concerned, you can go
and stick your 'forum' where the sun don't shine.

You sound just like a killfile person to me!

If you want anyone to know what you're talking about, and be taken even
slightly seriously, I'd advise you to learn how to use your news client.

See what I mean?

Net nannies to the front, net nannies to the side, net nannies to the
rear,
,
,
,
and if it aint the net nannies ........ it's the owners :-((

Please remember, this newsgroup is for the net nannies and the owners to
send kissy kissy newsgroup messages to each other and to advertise their
businesses. The likes of you and I are not part of the "IN" crowd and I am
pleased to see that you enjoy the comments and that they make you smile.
Good aint it.

Sit back and watch because at some time or other, a poor nebie gardener
will
come on here and ask a simple question, Such as 'I have just got my very
first garden, how often do I cut my lawn?' They will straight away be sat
on
with a pointing to the FAQ's "This has been covered to death and all the
answers are there" A real 'get off our newsgroup with your simple
questions', Barrowcloth is the one who usually snaps out answers :-((
Skool
marm fashion :-((

Mike :-))

I wonder if you, bearing in mind your vast experience, have ever given
anyone
a useful word of advice about any gardening problem, you omly seem to offer
unwelcome cutting remarks which are of no use to anyone, certainly not to
gardeners.

I think, at long last, bearing in mind the patience I have exersized in
reading
your rubbish postings, that you have just qualified for the killfile.

I don't often use it but there comes a time in everyones life when they have
to take the plunge!

Bye, bye.

I did it a long time ago Alan and remain blissfully oblivious to his
twee little interjections and occasionally hysterical outbursts.
Believe me, it does make a difference - and for the better. I've
never quite understood why he should continue to infest this group -
he's as irrelevant as the spam occasionally posted and as welcome as
vine weevil. Ah well, if he's got nothing better to do....

Well, I don't expect he has - after all, what else has he to do? I
shouldn't think his website will take up much of his time.

I am looking for someone that can help me identify plants on my
community forum. I am able to search different communities, groups, and
web pages to help identify; but it would be great to have someone that
can quickly identify a plant by reviewing some photos and reading a
description and not have to spend a lot of time searching and digging
around the Internet to do so.

It is pretty wild how fast this forum community is hitting off. Within
the last 36 hours 13 members joined creating 53 new topics and 111 new
posts. People seem to really enjoy unlimitied photo uploads of their
plants and gardens. They seem to enjoy showing off their pride and joy
that took tons of hard work and time to create.

Please check out the website if you are interested in helping identify
plants, or simply like to join a very friendly gardening and house
plant collecting community. The community is called, The Garden and
House Plant Forum. It can be found at http://gconn77.com

Thanks,
Garry

There's a needy gardening website called www.gardenbanter.co.uk; I'm
sure you could recruit lots of contributors over there.

If people
want to join a community that is not supervised, then go for it...

We did, thankyou, this is it.

In your dreams. Your website consists of scores of begging posts
written by yourself.

Maybe you'll have more luck with your other website seeking to
attract little boys..but I doubt it, once their parents notice.
