Contact a scaffolding company and acquire some old ones - they have to replace them (health and safety) after a period, or if they are damaged. They come in a variety of lengths - no need to have the twenty-footers! Aluminium ones are best, but not cheap, even secondhand. -- Rusty Direct reply to: horrid dot squeak snailything zetnet point co period uk Separator in search of a sig |

Turner writes I asked my mate at work for a ball park figure on what you want including posts and fitting. he said "off top of my head, £700." But he suggested using chicken wire for something like that, which is a lot cheaper. Well chicken wire is there, but degrades over time and forms gaps. With all the ivy coming through it's difficult to see the gaps. I thought something more substantial would be better. It's okay at the moment so I'm thinking of alternatives! Just chop them into lengths and stack them - they'll be fit to burn by winter of 2009 at the latest. My woodpile has a lot of ivy trunks amongst it. -- Rusty Direct reply to: horrid dot squeak snailything zetnet point co period uk Separator in search of a sig |
