Default Am I the only one who hates Christmas?

I never go to church to worship God.
I have never attended a church wedding.
My children have not been christened.
I have been trapped in a Tesco car park for 3 hours yesterday getting
essentials due to christmas shoppers.

When will this nightmare end?

How many of you get married in church with Gods blessing but never actually
go to church afterwards?

Most of you.

How many of you have been Christened or have had your child Christened? and
actually been back to church to say thanks in that special way that the
vicar does?

Not many of you.

These are my thoughts and welcome or not, the truth.

I recommend that you do what I do - celebrate the feast of the midwinter
solistice - Christmas is just a relabelling of an ancient festival :-)

The really objectionable thing is Tesco.

Nick Maclaren.

Greetings Baz

All you have to do is ask those followers 'Who or what is God?'

Have a nice holiday period. Enjoy yourself.

By the way, if anyone comes up with a satisfactory answer, let me know.

Mike

When your thoughts become "the truth", you're as bad as they are. Time
to put on a silly hat and start waving incense about.

Xmas is a civic duty without which the economy would collapse, and life
as we know it would come to an end. I ignore it, and it goes away. It's
only three months after all.

It looks like it!

I don't go to church, but that does not stop me enjoying Christmas.

Can't remember whether I have been to a church wedding or not, but does it
matter?

One of my children was christened!

You should have gone to Asda!

Dear me - I didn't realise Tesco had *that* much to answer for! ;-))

Why pick on TESCO when we have SAINSBURY, MORRISON, CO-OP, ASDA, SOMERFIELD
etc to choose from. Is any one better or worse than the others I wonder?

Because Tesco is at the bottom of the class structure? Someone with 'social
standing' goes to Sainsburys don't you know ;-)

I don't go to either ;-)

You could be right - but Tesco is my nearest S/market, therein lies the rub!
