How would one go about grow plants from the seeds you find in limes?

I've grown grapefruit by simply poking the seed into the soil in an
existing house pot plant. You tend to forget about it until a seedling
pops up, then hoike it out and re-pot.
This technique was/is mentioned in 'The Pip Book' by ahem, I can't
remember.

My wife buys limes weekly at Sainsbury's. Why go toCyprus for them?

Because most limes on sale in this country are West Indian, and are seedless.

Pretty foliage: like a silver-leaved sweet chestnut.

The trouble is they get rather big, but I fancy trying a bonsai job on
one or two.

By "amarula", do you mean what I mean by "marula"? That is the fruit found
in Southern Africa which ferments on the tree to such an extent that you can
get drunk eating it?
