Default Growing seeds from Limes

How would one go about grow plants from the seeds you find in limes?

I've grown grapefruit by simply poking the seed into the soil in an
existing house pot plant. You tend to forget about it until a seedling
pops up, then hoike it out and re-pot.
This technique was/is mentioned in 'The Pip Book' by ahem, I can't
remember.

The message
from "Franz Heymann" contains these words:

I've grown ten lemon seedlings and one from a supposedly seedless
satsuma this year.

I would have thought that that was a biological impossibility, even if the
satsuma did have some seed.

'Stroo - I knew there was something wrong with that sentence.

I grew eleven seedlings. Fifteen of which I still have.

Now - work that out!

My wife buys limes weekly at Sainsbury's. Why go toCyprus for them?

Because most limes on sale in this country are West Indian, and are seedless.

The message
from "Franz Heymann" contains these words:

True. You only get the occasional one with a seed or two.
So Grim Reaper goes to Cyprus simply to purchase a lime pip?

Well, this one keeps missing the Indian limes, which are stuffed full of
pips. As I keep forgetting to get amarulas while they are in season.

Bah! My unfogettory!

There was one in our garden when I was young, but damned if I can
remember what we called it! Not marula, anyway.

By "amarula", do you mean what I mean by "marula"? That is the fruit found
in Southern Africa which ferments on the tree to such an extent that you can
get drunk eating it?
