The purpose of presenting my query to three like groups

simultaneously was
to reach a wider interested (emphasis on interested) audience

Then have the good manners to address the three groups separately. It
is very easy to copy post.

Franz Sweetie,

You are of course right it is possible to copy/paste separately to three or
even thirty-three groups if so inclined.
Of course it means checking each and every group for replies but nil
presperadium (no sweat) as they say.
But think of it another way people who are narrow enough to only check one
N.G., (or don't have the time you appear to have), could miss out on
responses and nausea thread drifts such as this query has spawned.

And what the heck ?.
Explain to this dumbo again why cross-posting is so offensive.
And why, if it is so objectionable, does the server make cross-posting
possible ? ? ? ?.

I have cross-posted for six years on and off without a single problem

Had everyone stuck to giving a reply to the original query instead of self
opinionated inputs, which ultimately had no bearing, the world would go on
happpppppily spinning instead of almost coming to a stop.

Keep Smiling - it's catching.

Nice going. How's your arse?

That's a comparatively modern usage - in fact, 'nice' in its firs
recorded form is far closer to the context in which it's used these
days.

How's yours?

My Mammy taught me that it was wrong to answer a question with another
question.
