We had one here in NC last year who was much more fortunate...he didn't
suffer! If you get my drift.

DARWIN AWARD? How so? He kicked a stuck branch. Potentially dangerous.
Stupid. So are you saying you've never done something that others would say
was potentially dangerous and/or stupid?

Also, if you look at the poor man's name (Rigoberto Martinez, 20, of Long
Branch NJ), you may wonder if the fellow was an immigrant from Mexico.
Maybe he wasn't trained properly on how to safely use the equipment?

What you've described above is exactly the criteria for the Darwin
Aware.

Also, if you look at the poor man's name (Rigoberto Martinez, 20, of Long

It doesn't take a rocket scientist, in any language, to know you don't
stick your foot in a running branch chipper. Of any size.

More than most likely we all have at some time or another. But most people draw
the line when it comes to wood chippers, especially after seeing for the first
time what it can do to a 6" tree limb. Those who don't, however... get the
Darwin Award.

I don't "wonder" at all. I'm 99 & 44/100ths% sure he was not only from Mexico
or some other 3rd world spanish country, but equally sure, considering his
employment within a heavily cash-only industry (Like landscapers, car-washes,
and Taco stands) that he was an undocumented illegal alien.

As such, I have about as much sympathy for him as I do the robber or rapist who
dies while falling from a cliff while running away from the police.

Wow, it really takes a special kind of racist to compare a migrant worker to
a fugitive rapist. Oh, wait, let me guess...he probably wasn't paying taxes
right? That son of a bitch! Where does he get off thinking he can come to
this country and drink our tap water and use our garbage pick-up for free!
Death to him! If only they had deducted taxes from his $3.25/hour salary,
then his death would surely have been a tragedy, rather than poetic justice.

But I don't blame you for your ignorant and malicious remarks. You are,
afterall, only a brainwashed product of the society you live in. Make sure
you aim the car the next time you see another Mexican 'rapist' riding his
bike home from his 15 hour work day. If you find yourself hesistating, just
think of all the tax revenue he's screwing us Americans out of.

And of course the Good old patriotic American who was employing him
Illegally, paying less than legal wage, no tax, no training, and probably
making an untaxed income from him was really only doing it to help the
American economy.

How do you equate racist with anti-illegal immigrant? Oh let ME guess, anyone
who thinks there's just too damn many illegals in this country is a racist.

Tell you what, I'm just as opposed to illegal Greeks, Irish, English, German,
Scottish, French, etc.etc.etc.

Oh, wait, let me guess...he probably wasn't paying taxes
right?

Probably not. But that pales in comparison to crossing a border illegally, not
to mention the devastating economic impact this has on naturalized American
citizens from all socioeconomic stratas. (Other than the wealthiest 1%, of
course)

That son of a bitch! Where does he get off thinking he can come to
this country and drink our tap water and use our garbage pick-up for free!
Death to him! If only they had deducted taxes from his $3.25/hour salary,

If he were a citizen, he would never accept anything less than a living wage
(after taxes are deducted) in the first place. The fact that he's undocumented
and illegal is why he accepts paltry, unthinkable wages.

If he were legal, he wouldn't accept living in a rented house or apartment
where far too many people live, and pay through the nose for. This is how slums
are created.

If he, and none of the other illegals were here, then employers would have to
compete for employees instead of having a never-ending flood of practically
free labor, which would cause wages to rise, and natural-born and legalized
citizens could finally do all those things "Americans don't want to do" for a
living.

But I don't blame you for your ignorant and malicious remarks.

There was nothing ignorant in my remark, the only ignorance is in your
perception of what I said.

You are,
afterall, only a brainwashed product of the society you live in.

Aren't we all? Brainwashed would be a good way to describe someone who is
anti-illegal immigration with racist.

Make sure
you aim the car the next time you see another Mexican 'rapist' riding his

Did you know that in most of Europe and Australia, and many other 1st world
developed nations, you can live off the wages of a bussboy? You can raise a
family off the wages of a gardener. A retail store clerk, full time, makes as
much as most tradesmen. So do salespeople. In most of these countries, you get
5 weeks paid vacation per year.

How is this possible? It's easy when your countriy's first priority is a decent
standard of living for all it's citizens FIRST.

The USA can not be, and should not be the end-all solution for all the
downtrodden peoples of the world. We don't NEED anymore "unskilled" labor, we
don't have enough work for our own. We already built our highways, railroads,
and now do most manual labor by machine.

We just passed through the best economic times in 100 years, and very few
Americans have a thing to show for it. It's easy to supress the masses when you
can let in a few more hundred thousand indentured servants at the first sign
the middle class seems to be "getting too greedy."

Thanks for cut and pasting the whole white supremacist handbook for me, even
if it had nothing to do with what I originally said about your comments.

You attempted to find a parrallel between an immigrant worker who tragically
died in a freak accident and a rapist who falls off a cliff while running
from the police. I never once argued the virtues of letting illegal
immigrants into the U.S., so I'm afraid you wasted all that time writing out
your elitist propoganda for nothing.

I know all I need to know about you from your post. Sometimes I'm ashamed to
call myself an American because of people like you.

Thanks for not cutting and pasting the entire post, only the part which only
when taken out of context, fits your accusation.

You were equally off-target then as well. At least you're consistent.

You attempted to find a parrallel between an immigrant worker who tragically

from the police.

I pointed out that I have as much sympathy for both.

I never once argued the virtues of letting illegal
immigrants into the U.S., so I'm afraid you wasted all that time writing out
your elitist propoganda for nothing.

Yea, the street gangs, MS13, the Latin Kings, that's all propoganda...

I know all I need to know about you from your post. Sometimes I'm ashamed to
call myself an American because of people like you.

What shames you, the fact that I can and do have a different opinion than you
in regard to illegal immigrants, or that I'm not afraid to excersize my
constitutional right to voice it?

Some "American" you are.

Seems you are forgetting our own national history.

Blessed are the poor
Luke 6:20

"The New Colossus" by Emma Lazarus

(what it says at the base of the Statue of Liberty ,
Mother of Exiles, Liberty Enlightening the World)

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me.
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
Read that again --

"Give me - give us - your poor.
Your exiles, homeless - we welcome them.
We're asking for them.
Give us your wretched refuse.
Please."

Funny, but you don't hear people talk like that much any more
