As a university wossname, it was funded to begin with, and they only
started charging when the funding was withdrawn.

Indeed! This is what happened. Let's face it, for 5 (or 10, one or the
other) euros a year, it is worth it.

Blame your ISP.

Why?

I've no noticed any slow down. It seems to be working at its usual
speed.

I've not noticed any slowdown. IMO it's excellent value.

At ¤10 luxury you can afford. The revenue funds the computer
department at Berlin University.

And worth every penny! I only use Motzarella because N.I.N doesn't carry a
newsgroup I use.

I've used Motzarella when I was away from home. Maybe I was unlucky
but I found it unreliable. AEIOU or whatever limits the number of
post you can make in 24 hours, The limit is very low.

Yes it is. I don't use it very much though.

The AIOE limit is 25 posts per day.

I cannot imagine anyone other than a compulsive attention
seeker wanting to exceed that on a daily basis.

No don't tell me, there are hidden messages about gardening here, aren't
there? I must be missing them.

Aha! slugs, that must be it. I bribe my grand-daughters to hand pick
them off the garden with extra pocket money.
Same with caterpillars. The youngest one insists on keeping them as pets.

Thanks for all the replies. Perhaps I will stick as only Sacha and
myself seem to get a speed problem, and as she says it is hardly life
threatening.

Nobody else seems to have problem with NIN.

And what would the ISP have to do with it?
