Dom people who are complaining of it slowing down read 'online' as it
were, downloading messages they want to read as they read them I wonder
(just downloading the headers first)

I've never done it like that, though there was a reaosn for the facility
on slow connections.

I just have my software check news every 15 mins and downlaods all the
new messages, so even it was slightly slower, I'd not notice anyway

No, it's not that. Just recently I had my computer checked over, tidied up
etc. and that was a test that was done. I'm very impressed with my ISP in
fact. It's NIN that's running slowly but it's not a matter of life or
death!

department at Berlin University.

And worth every penny! I only use Motzarella because N.I.N doesn't carry a
newsgroup I use.

but I found it unreliable. AEIOU or whatever limits the number of
post you can make in 24 hours, The limit is very low.

I'm very impressed with my ISP in
