Now that is laughable. When did you ever see the NRA compromise with
anyone? They have their own paid special interest group that pays
their salaries and sends money in buckets. There is no reason they
would cave in to McCain or anyone else who happens to be president.

By that standard, every president since WWII has been a war monger.
We still have troups in Japan, Germany, South Korea, and half a dozen
other places, don't we? Have the results of that been bad? Any
candidates advocating withdrawing them from there?

One of the big complaints from liberals was that the US abandoned
Afghanistan after the Soviets withdrew. Yet, when we propose to
remain, that's supposed to be war mongering. 20-20 hindsight is real
convenient.

I agree. McCain will get the Republican nomination, but he ****es off a
lot of conservatives, and he won't be able to rely on the religious
wing-nut base, which means a lot of Republicans will either sit out this
election or vote third party.

Coulter: I Will Vote for Hillary Over McCain
February 01, 2008 10:38 AM

In case you missed it, on Hannity & Colmes last night, controversial
pundit Ann Coulter -- who supports Mitt Romney for president -- said
she would back Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, over Sen. John McCain,
R-Ariz.

"She's more conservative that he is," she said. "She will be stronger
on the war on terrorism...I will campaign for her if it's McCain."...

OTOH, with friends like that, who needs enemies?

Don't know, there are more people in the middle than you think. The best
thing that happened to McCain is having Limbaugh declare that it will be
the death of the Republican party. There are many people who sit a
little right of center who don't care for the full bore anything is OK
as long as a couple greedy reach guys profit from it system who find
McCain attractive. And of the thinking voters I know (not the I only
drink red or blue Koolaid people) they have said they would never
consider voting for Hillary if she should get the nomination.

Four reasons to vote for McCain if he's the nominee:

John Paul Stevens
Anthony M. Kennedy
Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Steven G. Breyer

So, if Obama gets nominated, you just know that some folks are gonna' go
bullet shopping. Best thing for Obama would be to have Hillary for his
running mate. Yes sir, that would give them big-ots somethin' to
ruminate about. Hell, it worked for George Bush. Why do you think he is
still alive? Big Dick Cheney, that's why. Hmmm, hmmm, hmmm, just a nasty
thought to think about.

Yo. Go 'Bama. Make their eyes bug-out:-)

mc cain a war monger who wants to keep a occupying force in iraq for a
100 years, isnt electable unless terrorists attack before the next
election.

oddly enough if he gets elected and occupies forever, that will almost
guarantee more terrorist attacks here

marriage.

(BTW- I have NO trouble with a woman for POTUS- just not THAT woman.)

If you're not with us, you're on the side of the terrorists.

On a more practical level, the GOP is in nomination disarray. I predict that
JEB Bush will be the nominee! After eight years with JEB (leading us to
security, hegemony, and prosperity), it'll be time for that good-looking
Bush Hispanic nephew. By the end of his two terms, the dynasty will be well
established.

After that, it's only a small step to a monarchy, which is what we
Republicans are really working for.

Don't tell anybody!

The word is already out. Ain't gonna happen.
