I'm willing to bet that these are probably the common leopard frog as they sell those for dissection: http://tinyurl.com/68ns7 Here are just the eggs by themselves and the price looks reasonable: http://tinyurl.com/4ra5q Hope this helps? :-) K. -- Sprout the Mung Bean to reply... ,,Cat's Haven Hobby Farm,,Katraatcenturyteldotnet,, http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...user id=katra |

I tested them prior to posting. :-( Go ahead and go directly to the Carolina Biological Supply website and do a search for frogs there. The had 150 eggs for under $25.00 and a frog grow kit for kids: http://www.carolina.com/ Hope that helps this time? lol K. -- Sprout the Mung Bean to reply... ,,Cat's Haven Hobby Farm,,Katraatcenturyteldotnet,, http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...user id=katra |

Looking for frog eggs for pond
Went out to Native Waterscapes off of Hwy 71 past Oak Hill, purchased 4
tadpoles at 50 cent each, ($2.49 everywhere else), while there, found a bunch of eggs in one of their pond, which they let me have, so I'm covered, thanks all. "Catbird" wrote in message ... Neat. :-) What kind of tad's did you get? Bullfrog? Any idea what the eggs might be? There are some large tad's in the pond at work that I saw last week, they were developing hind legs. Wish I had a pond built, (it's in the plans!!!), I'd have snagged them. Childhood thing. G Catching pollywogs is fun! Looking for frog eggs for pond
I have no less than a hundred toads this year. They are all rather large (bigger
than a half dollar coin) in size, so a lot of the babies survived. I suspect we'll have a lot of toads next spring. I do seem to have a breeding population of 3 different types of lizards, as I see lots of babies this year. SInce you've found what you're looking for, I suppose this is moot, but its too late in the year to find eggs and tadpoles in natural waterways. We've collected many tadpoles from Sandy Creek, about 60 miles west of Austin on hwy 71. The tadpoles were there in backwater pools somewhere between Apr 15 and May 15, so I assume the eggs could be found there prior to that. |

Oh, lizards are so plentiful here I can hardly take a step without seeing a bunch scattering around. We have skinks, anoles, fence lizards, and I have seen a horny toad, which brought tears to my eyes! Also, we have the Mediterranean gecko all over the limestone which covers our home. I suspect they live in the attic, which is find, as long as they don't get hurt by anything up there. I do have cellulose insulation, not fiberglass, so they should be okay. v Need a good, cheap, knowledge expanding present for yourself or a friend? http://www.animaux.net/stern/present.html |

We have skinks, anoles, fence lizards, and I have seen a horny toad, which brought tears to my eyes! Now _that_ is cool! Horned lizards are an endangered species in Texas thanks to fire ants! I also have lots of anoles, western fence lizards and of course geckos by the dozens! Those breed in my attic. We find eggs around the edges up there. They are most welcome! I saw my first skink last year and hope to see more. Also, we have the Mediterranean gecko all over the limestone which covers our home. Looking for frog eggs for pond
Right now we have toads and tadpoles, I have no idea how many tadpoles of
those we have. The water looks like it's moving by itsel, there are so many in there. But i wanted some frogs too. No idea what type of eggs I found, the ones I purchased were "tiger frogs" he said, but these tadpoles were bigger the the toads ever get to in size as tadpoles. "Katra" wrote in message ... The water moving by itself! That presents a picture. Suggestion tho', due to food competition, if you really want the frogs you bought to succeed, you might want to seriously consider removing a bunch of the toad tadpoles from your pond and relocating them elsewhere. The shop where you bought your tadpoles might want them for resale also. :-) K. -- Sprout the Mung Bean to reply... ,,Cat's Haven Hobby Farm,,Katraatcenturyteldotnet,, http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...user id=katra |

They're more common than trolls on austin.general. Build it (a pond) and they will come. I dropped a half watermelon that was past its prime in the pond and the tads ate it down to a paper thin shell. |
